About this tool
Smaller images make websites load faster, emails send quicker and uploads meet size limits. A quality of around 70–80% usually cuts file size by more than half with no visible difference. Your images never leave your device — they are compressed right here in the browser.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression happens entirely in your browser, so your photos stay private.
Which format should I choose?
JPG or WebP for photos, PNG for graphics with sharp edges or transparency. WebP is usually the smallest.
Why did a PNG get bigger?
PNG is lossless, so some already-optimised PNGs can’t shrink further. Try saving as WebP or JPG instead.
